About Us
ORIGINAL OWNERS
The Colaianni family of Pocatello bought the store in the late 1950's. Before then it was known as "The Little Chief" during the 40's and 50's.
THE FAMILY GROCERY BUSINESS
The family grocery business began in 1957 when Ronald Nelson bought a small grocery store on the west side of Pocatello. His family built a tradition of hard work, family values, and customer service where employees and customers become part of the family. Ron's oldest son, Todd, worked side by side with his father learning these principles of business. In 1991, Todd purchased Bi-Lo's and with his son-in-law, Barry, continued the family tradition.
NEL'S BI-LO TODAY
In 2009, Todd stepped aside and Barry & Jacque Dutton took over ownership, still working to offer Pocatello/Chubbuck the finest in quality service by family run principles. Today, Nel's Bi-Lo still operates as a family business where employees and customers are treated like family, where good old customer service has never gone out of fashion.
